PRIVACY

How to protect personal privacy?

With the popularization of computers and the development of information technology, people enjoy the convenience brought by science and technology, searching, browsing, and getting more information on different websites. Still, they also unknowingly leave personal information on the website. In this digital age, privacy and security issues have become more serious. With data breaches occurring frequently, privacy and information security are more important than ever, and people need to be sensitive to the circumstances under which they will disclose their personal information to prevent their privacy from being exposed to risk. The leakage of personal privacy may not only bring trouble to life, but also make it more likely that their identity will be stolen and their property will be lost.

KEYWORD:

Privacy

DIMENSIONS:

24 in. L x 20 in. W x 21 in.

MEDIUM:

Cardboard, tinfoil, paper lanterns, cords, glue ,and markers

This artwork is about privacy. Its shell is made from tinfoil wrapped in a Home Depot extra large moving box. Amanda uses tinfoil, a more metallic wrapping paper, to express the age of cyber and high-tech. The interior of the boxes is made from paper lanterns. Amanda used red, blue, and black markers to draw paper lanterns with eyeball patterns. Large and small "eyeballs" mean that in this digital age, data and information leaks are everywhere. There are countless people staring at the personal information that people leave online when they shop, socialize, and work. People need to increase their awareness of self-protection, not disclose sensitive personal information at will, and carefully read the privacy policy of each website to reduce personal privacy disclosure.
